Digital Media Consultant

Vanessa began her career at BlissPR, a public relations firm in New York City, where she worked her way up to the position of Director of Media Research. After leaving BlissPR, Vanessa freelanced for several companies while traveling in South America. After moving back to the states, she joined CT Corporation as a Marketing Coordinator and then worked at Corning in Internal Communications. Right before joining Riger, Vanessa also spent several years on the Marketing team at CFCU Community Credit Union, where she gained broad experience in all aspects of marketing, from marketing strategy and project management to writing and graphic design. Her diverse background has equipped her with a well-rounded skill set.

Account Executive

As an AE, Ashley directs and coordinates day-to-day client service and deliverables. A former marketing director for a large auto dealership group and digital marketing manager for a local insurance & financial services firm, she is used to working in a busy, fast-paced environment. She is a graduate of Lyndon State College in Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in New Media Studies.

Office Administrator/Bookkeeper

Christina brings a diverse set of skills to her role as Office Administrator. Joining Riger in 2023, Christina applies her experience from both large corporate and small local business settings to provide top-notch customer service to our valued clients. She holds an AAS degree in Engineering Science and a BS degree in Computer Science.

Katlynn Whitaker

Project Coordinator

Katlynn is a digital native who interned with Riger in 2015. She works closely with our account service teams and clients, building on her experience in graphic design and project management. Before joining the agency, she worked in web design and development. She graduated from Marywood University with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and an Advertising minor. Katlynn is currently the Marketing/PR Chair of the United Way of Broome County’s Emerging Leaders Society.

Ann Rose

Art Director

Ann has deep and broad experience as a graphic designer and marketing strategist, having worked in agency, freelance and corporate environments. She brings Riger and our clients a fresh perspective as a multi-tooled creative problem solver, strategist and writer who excels in graphic and digital design, brand development, web design, video, and production. As a volunteer, she was the President-Elect of the Junior League of Elmira-Corning and PTO President at Clayton Avenue School, Vestal. She also headed committees as chair of the School Book Fair,  and the Tryathlon and co-chair of the Vestal High School All-Nighter. She holds a B.A. degree from California State University-Long Beach.

As an advertising professional with years of experience on both sides of the media table, Mary has been in broadcasting and agency work most of her career. In July 2026, Mary was inducted into the Binghamton Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Her vast media contacts and deep knowledge of traditional and digital media combine with a no-nonsense style to give our clients the very best service. Mary serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of Broome County. She is currently a member of the Catholic Charities Diocese of Syracuse Board of Trustees and a board member of Johnson City (NY) Senior Center. Mary is also on the Broome County Council of Churches Lives of Commitment Signature Committee.

Writer

Steve joined Riger as a copywriter in 1987. Since then, he has served as an account manager working with a wide variety of B2B, consumer, healthcare and financial services clients. In addition to co-managing the agency, Steve’s client responsibilities include community relations work on behalf of Sanofi Pasteur, a leading vaccine manufacturer, as well as Tioga State Bank, SUNY Broome, local senior living communities, nonprofits and other clients. Steve sits on the board of directors of the George A. and Margaret Mee Charitable Foundation, and is on the Binghamton University Forum communications and membership committees. He has served on the boards of the BCC Foundation, Broome County Council of Churches and UHS Foundation. He recently became a “Big” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Twin Tiers.

Owner & President

Jamie began her internship here at Riger in the summer of 2005. She was hired as an account assistant upon her graduation from Binghamton University’s English Department the following year, then advanced to account executive, partner, and then managing partner. A copywriter and strategic planner at heart, Jamie leads teams who serve clients from these widely ranging industries: financial services, nonprofit, healthcare, education, retail, and B2B. She has served in board positions for the following community groups: Binghamton Sertoma Club, Binghamton Salvation Army, and Broome Leadership Institute Alumni Association (co-chairing the Canstruction of the Southern Tier initiative). She currently serves on the boards of the PRSA Finger Lakes Chapter, United Way of Broome County and the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation for South Central New York.
